Joseph Wood Hill Park at the crown of Rocky Butte provides a stunning view that extends to downtown Portland, up the Columbia River Gorge, close ups to jets landing at PDX and beyond to the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. On a clear day, Rocky Butte offers vistas to five snow-capped peaks of the Cascades. The surrounding Douglas firs and big-leaf maples the Butte provide a lush setting for this spectacular viewpoint.
